Summer On St. Patrick's Day

Temps were in the 80s today. Crazy!! We took advantage with a long visit to the park.

(A long visit that yielded an equally long nap. WINNING!!)

34.5 weeks

Not wearing make-up, but at least I'm clean. You can't have everything, people.

I visited the doctor this week and everything looks good. Heartbeat was slower than I think this one or Liam's ever was (somewhere in the 130s), but still normal. The doc shoved my belly around and decided that the kid is head down.

Which is too bad. I was really looking forward to burning incense next to my little toes again.

Not really. The moxi made Liam move like crazy, and believe me when I tell you that this kid needs NO HELP in that area. It pushes and rolls plenty in there (and seems to really enjoy the music I listen to when I'm driving).

So, anyway. Head down. Game on.

The little heat wave we've been having has not been fun for me. First, I hadn't even bothered to unpack my summer maternity clothes. I figured with an April baby I wouldn't need them. I had to climb up to the attic to get them down this week. Short sleeves and skirts couldn't save me though. My library is on the top floor of an old building and has only one window that opens about 6 inches. I'm pretty sure it was at least 85 degrees in there this week. Those who know me, know that I don't tolerate heat well when I'm not eight and a half months pregnant. I was a sweaty, flushed mess at work. VERY professional.

It's been great to take walks and play a little with LD in the longer evenings this week, though!

We didn't post a mid-30s belly picture last time, but I dug this one up from the 2009 Young Family Beer, Bags, and BBQ Bash in Cleveland. Memorial Day would have been about 34ish weeks.

Despite comments from nearly everyone (except Damian) to the contrary, I think the belly is smaller this time. I can say for sure that the butt is.
