Our kid is as average as average can be.
Month two found us falling even more in love with this kid. Though we still haven't managed to capture that quicksilver smile on camera, those who have come to visit this month can attest that it is heart-melting and breath-stealing.
And, oh! The visitors! Liam has had some very special visitors this month. Scott, Jonnett, and Jane Maurer, Amanda Meyer, Uncle Graham, Grandpa Phil, the Redman/Chambers family, Great Aunt Sue and Great Uncle Jim all came to visit in August. (I hope I didn't forget anyone ...)
Liam continues to take it easy on us. He's been a great sleeper from the beginning. From the first week, he only woke up twice at night. Sometime around sixish weeks, he dropped the 1am wake up and now only wakes up at 4 or 5. Which is a six- or seven-hour stretch. That, my friends, is sleeping through the night. FTW!
I went back to work last Thursday and it has been going very well. Of course, it really doesn't count since Damian has been home with him since I went back. The true test will be next Tuesday when our boy starts at day care. Dun dun DUUUNNNN. I'm glad we broke this into a two-step process, though. I could get used to being back at work before having to adjust to the idea of him at day care.
So that's pretty much it for month two. Liam continues to be an absolute delight. As I'm typing this, he's curled against the boppy in my lap, sleeping off the mild fever from his immunizations this morning (which he took like a champ).
Here are some pics from this month. If you haven't come to visit, do! Liam will sleep on your chest. I promise.
(OK, this is cheating. It's really from his first month. But, beautiful, RIGHT?)
First swim. Not the first time in that goofy hat.
